The Five Things You Need in Your Summer Wardrobe

Quigs here!

This summer, I have two goals: to relax poolside as much as possible and to make room for Baby Goode. I’m going into full detox mode, working my way through my house, closet, and beyond. When I’m Marie Kondo-ing my life, I reconnect and fall in love with some forgotten closet finds while also discovering the new trends of the season. Today, I’ve compiled a list of the old and new that will upgrade your summer wardrobe - guaranteed!

1. Puff Sleeves

This statement sleeve has stood the test of time. They’re chic, feminine, and come on a variety of silhouettes. My favorite summertime grab is a babydoll dress with voluminous sleeves that make me feel comfortable and stylish.

2. Belt Bags

I’ve dedicated a whole blog post to these little guys, but let me tell one more time: this bag is one of the most versatile styles ever. That’s right, you heard me - EVER! When I don’t want to be weighed down with a clunky tote, I opt for a fanny, insuring my hands are free to stop and smell the roses!

3. Strappy Sandals

Affectionately known as the naked sandals, this style made WAVES last summer. It’s simplistic design makes it the perfect choice when complementing a statement look or matching a minimalistic fit.

4. Micro Totes

The space of a tote with the movement of a clutch, micro totes are the way to go when you need a little extra room without forfeiting style. Even though their name sounds contradictory, this bag is made for the sunny skies of summer!

You might think these hats are way too trendy, but you can actually style them in so many different ways. An instant statement piece, it makes any outfit more fun and memorable. I love taking it to the pool and then dressing it up for a night out!
