The Summer Cocktails (and Mocktails) You Need to Try

It’s finally summer! One of my favorite things about the season is the fun drinks. Since I’ve been pregnant, I don’t miss alcohol at all, but I still want to celebrate the sunny skies with a bright mocktail. Let me tell you, it pays to be married to a mixologist. Al makes the BEST drinks and today, he’s sharing some of his favorite summer cocktails with their mocktail versions, so everyone (including my pregnant ladies) can enjoy the sips of the season!

Officially Spritzed

  1. 1 oz. Gin

  2. 1 oz. Lillet Rosé

  3. 2-3 Basil Leaves

  4. Top Elderflower Tonic

Instructions: Add all ingredients over ice in a wine glass. Stir gently and top with elderflower tonic. Garnish with a lemon wheel. 

Almost Spritzed

  1. 1.5 oz. Grapefruit Juice

  2. .25 oz. Simple Syrup

  3. 2-3 Basil Leaves

  4. Top Elderflower Tonic

Instructions: Add all ingredients over ice in a wine glass. Stir gently and top with elderflower tonic. Garnish with a lemon wheel. 

Strawberry Mule

  1. 1.5 oz. Vodka

  2. .5 oz. Fresh Lime Juice

  3. .25 oz. Simple Syrup

  4. 3 Strawberry Halves

  5. Ginger Beer

Instructions: Gently muddle the strawberries and simple syrup in the bottom of a highball glass. Add ice, lime, and vodka, and stir gently. Top with ginger beer and garnish with a strawberry slice.

Virgin Mule

  1. .5 oz. Fresh Lime Juice

  2. .25 oz. Simple Syrup

  3. 3 Strawberry Halves

  4. Ginger Beer

Instructions: Gently muddle the strawberries and simple syrup in the bottom of a highball glass. Add ice and lime, and stir gently. Top with ginger beer and garnish with a strawberry slice.
