Why Self-Education is So Important

Ever since I was young, I always had a book in hand. Science, literature, nonfiction, fiction - I loved to fill my mind with knowledge and adventures. The thirst for education didn’t stop as a child. Not only did I push myself to continue to learn, I wanted to teach others the lessons I picked up along the way. And because of that, Soulcial Media was born. My team and I recognize the importance to spread the information wealth, so everybody has an opportunity to chase and reach their wildest dreams. Education doesn’t just happen in a classroom, and today, we’re going to tell you why continuous self-educating is essential for personal and professional success.

1. It gives you the technical skills to succeed.

The development of a new skill requires tactical ability. Want to learn how to play the guitar? Pose for pictures? Master your finances? While you could wing it, taking the time to learn from an expert or mentor will give you insight that will set you well on your way to crushing your goals!

2. It pushes you to choose yourself and your goals.

The thing with self-education is it’s all up to you. No one is forcing you to invest your time, money, and memory - you have to choose that for yourself. Choosing you sets yourself up to become empowered and empower others.

3. It enables you to see yourself as a leader.

Impostor syndrome is a hard thing to beat and requires a major mindset shift. A good leader is never done growing; they continuously push to learn and evolve. You can eliminate feeling like a “phony” by practicing what you’ve learned.
