Living in LA, the weather is very slow to change, creating a long transition period between summer and autumn. This has given me enough time to become a pro at creating fall looks with summer styles, and today, I’m telling you to leave your summer staples hanging in your closet a little longer.

Bum Bags, Fanny Packs, Belt Bags. No matter what you call them, belt bags are one of my favorite accessories. People underestimate the versatility of these bags. Not only do they allow you to go hands-free and double as a retro waist-cincher, but they can also be rocked in MANY different ways.

This shoot was absolutely magical. Getting to play dress-up in Needle and Thread is always such fun, but getting to shoot these gorgeous gowns in a stunning location makes it that much better. Why is this my most precious place on the planet?! Our lake cabin was built by my Grandpa Potter in 1961. I’ve been visiting it since I was in diapers. It has changed a lot over the years but it’s symbolism in my life is timeless. It connects me to nature and my spirit and is a place where I get to spend quality time with my loved ones. From fishing with my grandpa, to star gazing with my dad, to painting on the dock with my sister, to playing cards with my grandma, to long walks through the woods with my mom and campfires with cousins and friends... this place is the foundation for my whole identity.
