The Key to Practicing Better Digital Wellness
Quigs here!
It can sometimes feel like everything is now done through a screen or with just a click of a button. The digital world can be exciting and fun, but it can also seriously drain you. Ever since I started my journey on social media, I’ve implemented boundaries to help improve my mental and overall wellbeing. Today, I’m going to share with you the four ways I maintain my digital wellness!
1. Set limits and stick to them.
Most of my day is consumed with social media, emails, and phone calls. I like to set limits on how many hours I’ll be on my phone and social media. It also helps me switch between work and home life more easily!
2. Take a break.
Staring at a phone or computer screen can be very draining. If you start to feel this way, get up, get out, and start moving. I love to take Lucy and Becky on a walk when I start to DRAGGG midday.
3. Turn off notifications.
With so many apps on my phone and computer, the notifications can start to clutter. I now only let my texts, calls, and a few apps leave notifications, and it’s a total game changer!
4. Learn to love the quiet.
I sometimes want to grab my phone even when I don’t need to. I’m just bored! If you catch yourself doing that too, try a self-reflective activity like journaling or meditating.
